TRADE Seminar Sciences Po/PSE : Kevin O'ROURKE (Oxford)

Kevin O'ROURKE is the Chichele Professor of Economic History at All Souls College Oxford as well as University Academic Fellow. He is a CEPR Research Fellow and Research Associate at NBER as well as as Visiting Professor at University College Dublin and Visiting Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin.

His research lies at the intersection of economic history and international economics. In particular, he has done a lot of work on the history of globalization and deglobalization, and is still working on these themes. He is currently working on interwar trade and trade policy, and is also interested in the relationships between trade and war. Other current projects include a history of economic growth in the 20th century, and quantifying the importance of coal during the industrial revolution.
