Carsten ECKEL is Professor of Economics and Chair of International Trade and Trade Policy at the University of Münich. He is Associated Member of Cege, Fellow at CESifo, External Fellow at the Leverhulme Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy (GEP) and part of the Managing Board of the Munich Center on Governance, Communication, Public Policy and Law (U of Münich).

His research interests focus on international economics, industrial organization and open-economy macroeconomics.
