PEPES Seminar: Davide CANTONI (Ludwig Maximilians Universit├Ąt of Munich)

Davide CANTONI is Professor of Economic History and Chair of Economic History at the Ludwig Maximilians Univsität of Munich. He is a CEPR Research Affiliate and a Member of the CESifo Research Network. He sits on the Editorial Board of the Review of Economic Studies and Associate Editor of the Journal of European Economic Association as well as Explorations in Economic History.  He was recently awarded a prestigious ERC Starting Grant for his project "Demand for Democracy". 

His research focuses on economic history and political economy. His research covers various topics: the political economy of educational content, the effect of institutions and culture on long-run development, and the dynamics of political change.
