Mohammad AKBARPOUR is Assistant Professor of Economics at the Stanford Graduate School for Business and Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Stanford. Prior to joining Stanford he was a Research Fellow, at the Becker-Friedman Institute of the University of Chicago. He is on leave this semester as a Visiting Professor at Harvard. His research work is on designing market institutions and understanding the role of networks in the economy. Recently, he has been looking at questions related to economic inequality, organ markets, and information diffusion in networks. 17-12-2019 | TRADE Seminar Sciences Po / PSE: Eddy BEKKERS (World Trade Organisation)
Eddy BEKKERS is Research Economist at the World Trade Organisation, focusing on quantitative trade modelling. Prior to his present position, he worked for three years as a Postdoctoral researcher at the World Trade Institute primarily on the EU-funded project PRONTO project on nontariff measures. He was also Assistant Professor at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz for six years. He conducts research on a wide range of topics in international trade: firm heterogeneity, gravity modelling, traded goods prices, food price pass through, foreign affiliate sales and trade in services.
