Departmental Seminar: Pablo KURLAT (Stanford University)

Pablo KURLAT is Assistant Professor at Stanford University's Department of Economics.

His research focuses on two related themes: asymmetric information and liquidity. The first explores models of trade with informed sellers and heterogeneously informed buyers. The second addresses questions related to liquidity, from several different angles. Building on his work on asymmetric information, he studies the informational microfoundations of asset liquidity and how it responds to and amplifies macroeconomic shocks. He also examines the risk-sharing implications of fluctuations in the price of liquidity services.
