*UPDATED* Departmental Seminar: Frank VERBOVEN (KU Leuven)

Frank VERBOVEN is Professor of Economics at KU Leuven where he is also the Chairman of the Department of Economics.  He is notably specialized in industrial organization, competition economics, and applied econometrics. He is equally a CEPR Research Fellow and of Telecom ParisTech's Chair of Innovation and Regulation, and a Member of the Industrial Organization Research Group at Leuven (IO@Leuven). He is Associate Editor of the Economic Journal and De Economist.

His research focuses on industrial organization, in particular the econometric analysis of market power, with applied to competition policy and regulation. His most recent work has looked at the liberalization of the European car distribution system, competition in liberal professions (such as pharmacies), policy reform in higher education, and investment in ATM networks.
