Alliance Program: Louise GUILLOUËT, PhD Candidate at Columbia, is visiting with us !

The Department is pleased to welcome Louise GUILLOUËT, PhD Candidate at Columbia University, who will be visiting with us until the end of the year as part of the Alliance Program.

Louis GUILLOUËT is currently in the third year of her PhD. She is interested primarily in industrial organization and its application to environmental and developmental issues.

Louise GUILLOUËT is not unfamiliar with Sciences Po – she was awarded a joint Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Social Science from Sciences Po and the University Pierre and Marie Curie. She went on to acquire a Master’s in Economics at the Paris School of Economics.

While visiting with us, she will be working on a project entitled: “The Distributional Consequences of Entry At the Top: Estimating the Whole Foods Effect”.

Endowed since 2008, Alliance is an “ innovative academic joint-venture between Columbia University and three prestigious French institutions - Polytechnique, Sciences Po, and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University . It funds a number of programs in order to facilitate mobility, the exchange of people (students, faculty, personnel), knowledge practices and resources.
